Fire, Ice, Flying, Bug and Psychic attacks will all work well - but you should generally stay away from using a Bug Pokemon against Poison types. Would I pick it over Bulbasaur as my favorite Grass/Poison type? No chance. Oddish's only real problem is its relatively low Attack power - but if you use it primarily for status-changing moves, it's a good addition to your team. For a low-level Pokemon, it's not bad at all. For example, Solar Beam and Mega Drain can help take out even the toughest Ground opponents, and the status-changing attacks like Sleep Powder, Stun Spore and Toxic can instantly turn a battle around to your favor. Sure, Poison and Grass techniques aren't all that hot in the grand scheme of things, but if used correctly, they can be very effective against Water, Ground, Rock, Grass, and Bug opponents. All of this walking turnip's moves are either Poison or Grass attacks. With Oddish and co., it's just the opposite. Too many dual Pokemon don't actually learn any techniques that pertain to their types. Tips: Grass/Poison types may be weak against a lot of attacks, but Oddish and its family represent all their best qualities. LV 01 - Absorb LV 15 - Poison Powder LV 17 - Stun Spore This Pokémon naturally learns the following techniques: Locations: Catch Oddish on Route 5-7 , 24 and 25 in Pokemon Red and on Routes 12-15, 24 and 25 in Yellow. If you try to yank it out of the ground, it shrieks horribly.
